To complement the research activities of the laboratory of Prof. Jean-Yves Roignant, Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG), University of Lausanne, we are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on projects relating to the mechanisms of post-transcriptional gene regulation in brain development and function.

Expected start date in position: 01.01.2025
Contract length: 1 year
Activity rate: 100% (minimum of 50% for research project, maximum of 50% for institutional tasks)
Workplace: University of Lausanne, Dorigny campus
Your responsibilities
The main responsibility consists of conducting scientific research in the framework of the Roignant lab, which investigates how RNA modifications contribute to brain development and function. The impact of the alteration of several RNA modifications in human diseases are investigated with multi-pronged approaches that include (but are not restricted to) molecular and cellular biology, genomics and animal genetics. Knowledge in computational biology is an asset.
Full funding for the position is available, although application to personal, international fellowship programs are expected.
Your qualifications
Dynamic and dedicated scientist with a PhD degree in biology or a related discipline. Critical thinker. Team player eager to participate in scientific discussions. Interest in developing your skills in multidisciplinary experimental strategies to understand basic mechanisms in gene regulation.
