Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with our established menu.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Manage inventory, monitor food stock, and place orders when necessary.
- Assist in creating new menu items and seasonal dishes, with a focus on local and sustainable ingredients.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role is an advantage.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate the kitchen team.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on creative, high-quality dishes.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays during the winter season.
- Previous experience working in a seasonal or alpine setting is an advantage.
