The European Respiratory Society (ERS) is the world’s largest respiratory society. It prioritises science, education and advocacy in order to promote lung health, alleviate suffering from disease and drive standards for respiratory medicine globally. ERS has a membership of around 35,000 respiratory-focused professionals, including clinicians, scientists and allied healthcare professionals. However, the ERS audience spans further than its members; non-member respiratory professionals regularly engage with and benefit from content produced by ERS.

About the ERS Respiratory Channel:
The ERS Respiratory Channel (https://channel.ersnet.org/)was launched as an online digital platform in 2021. It aims to showcase the work that ERS does across its three key pillars of education, science and advocacy. It aims to deliver informative and engaging content relating to important or interesting topics in the respiratory field through a range of formats including video, live events and podcasts. The Channel serves as an invaluable resource for members and the wider respiratory community worldwide as they navigate the complexities of the field of respiratory medicine.
Role requirements:
The successful candidate must have excellent administrative, organisational and stakeholder management skills, and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a project coordinator role or similar. They must be able to work under time pressure and on multiple elements simultaneously. They must have fluent level of English. A scientific or medical background is not required for this role. Knowledge of the respiratory field is also not essential.
Role deliverables:

Organise the bi-weekly ERS Respiratory Channel Board meeting – inviting attendees, preparing slides or documents where needed, and ensuring a planned agenda. Follow up with action points set within those meetings.

Administratively support the ERS Respiratory Channel Editor and Editorial Board meetings as required.

Have an overview of all content (within remit) featured on the Channel and provide regular reporting on the production status andassisting with the compilation of statistics and key metrics of various programmes to help shape decisions on future commissioning

Facilitate the organisation and delivery of individual programmes by:
- liaising with the ERS department or individual involved in/leading on the creation of content for that programme.
- liaising with internal or external production teams to set up production.
- coordinating invitations to chairs/speakers/faculty involved in the programme - ensuring all participants are fully prepared to take part on the day (this could include preparation information, training, basic scripts etc).
- attendance of recordings or live programmes where support is needed.
- liaising directly with the ERS Communications Department to ensure they have everything needed to set-up Channel pages and promote live or recorded content.
- updating a centralised calendar of events with planned events - Other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director
