Job Description Summary
As part of the Global Operations team for HDGT NU Project execution organization, we’re looking for a candidate to cover the position of Process & Tools Manager. This is a critical role requiring candidates to be energized self-starters, independent workers, with strong leadership, strong clear thinking, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
Partnering with global, cross-functional stakeholders within the Gas Power-New Units Project Management organization, the person covering this position will be responsible to identify opportunities and implement digitized solutions that drive project management excellence. The ideal candidate will lead the full lifecycle—from process improvement to the implementation of digital solutions—with a focus on enhancing standardization, data transparency, and data quality. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with various project management functions to identify business benefits and secure appropriate budget allocations.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify Process & Automation gaps to be addressed in order to meet yearly business objectives
- Organize & lead sessions with functional owners: Understand process/data gaps and expected impact if not addressed
- Facilitate cross functional discussions, fostering collaborative working environments, to drive the business towards simplified standardized solutions
- Decide on scope prioritization across Monthly agile development sprints & ensuring stay on target to business expectations
- Assist in planning of yearly IT budget requests
- Ensure Digital/Functional supporting documentation management & maintenance
- Form close working relationships, and build domain expertise, with cross-functional teams including Project Management, Finance, Quality, and Scheduling.
- Provide training & user support when required
- Collaborate with Digital team members (Developers, Data Architects, Datalake team, etc...)
Required Qualifications
- Significant proven professional experience in Software Development or Project Management, with responsibilities for managing scope and resource allocations
- Experience in leading cross functional initiatives and/ or large global projects
- Ability to independently lead/navigate and influence the relevant stakeholders in a complex, matrix organization to drive global digitization initiatives
- Self-starter, result-driven, Clear thinker professional with an ability to focus on the critical few” issue/priorities to problem solve. Able to communicate messages clearly and concisely. Ability to translate strategy into digitization objectives
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience .
- Excellent communication skills in English language: experience working across multiple levels (including EB+), functions and Poles delivering clear messages to influence teams to achieve the expected results
- Strong knowledge of data and process flows and system design
- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on Return on Investment
Desired Characteristics
- Expertise in Continuous Improvement or Process Improvement initiative
- Flexible attitude to adapt to different time zone
- Experience in defining and executing product and technical development roadmaps
- Experience in the Power Plant Industry
- Lean expertise (i.e. experience with Leading/Facilitating Kaizen events)
- Strong technical competency with a history of working hands-on to solve problems and define workable solutions
- Proactive to understands when change is needed. Participates and leads in technical strategy planning.
- Innovative approach to problem solving. Proactive to learn and propose new solutions to enhance project execution excellence
- Successful track record of implementation of wing-to-wing digitization initiative (from strategy to full deployment, including preparation of related documentation, training etc…)
