LINE MANAGER: Head of IT Governance

Reporting to the Head of IT Governance, the Senior Manager of IT Insourcing & Offshore Operations will lead the strategic initiative to establish and manage offshore/nearshore IT delivery centres while driving the insourcing of critical IT competencies. The role holder will develop and execute the transition strategy from external vendors to internal capabilities, ensuring cost optimisation and building strategic IT capabilities for the organisation.

• Develops and implements the IT insourcing strategy, identifying critical competencies to be internalised and creating detailed transition plans;

• Establishes and manages offshore/nearshore IT delivery centers, including location selection, setup, and operational management;

• Creates and executes workforce planning strategies for both insourcing and offshore operations;

• Manages vendor transition processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity;

• Develops cost-optimisation models and tracks benefits realisation from insourcing and offshore operations;

• Builds and leads high-performing teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement;

• Establishes governance frameworks and KPIs for measuring offshore center performance and insourcing success;

• Collaborates with IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between insourcing strategy and business objectives;

• Manages relationships with local authorities, vendors, and partners in offshore locations;

• Ensures compliance with local regulations and company policies across all operations.

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field;

• 8-10 years of IT management experience, with proven track record in offshore operations and vendor management;

• Experience in establishing and managing offshore IT centers, preferably in multiple locations;

• Strong understanding of IT service delivery models and global talent markets;

• Demonstrated success in large-scale insourcing initiatives and organisational transformation;

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

• Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial;

• Strong financial acumen and experience in cost optimisation;

• Experience with IT governance frameworks and quality management systems;

• Proven ability to build and lead multicultural teams.
