The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Enabling Functions Finance & Finance Innovation, as the Director, Finance Business Partner – HR & Finance, you will be a member of the Enabling Functions (EF) Finance Leadership team, and you will lead the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) support for the HR and Finance functions, partnering with the business in achieving their strategic goals by providing financial guidance, insights and decision support on core activities and financial performance. You will help to manage costs and find potential savings, evaluating initiatives, identifying opportunities, and helping to manage risks. You will also be the single point of contact for finance topics for the business. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid
The Role:
- Lead financial analysis, insights, and decision support for the HR & Finance functions on core activities and financial performance to achieve business outcomes that drive sustainable and profitable growth, as well as provide guidance in evaluating initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Lead the HR & Finance functional operating expense annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including assessment of risks and opportunities to meet financial and business objectives.
- Deliver agreed KPIs and reporting to the HR & Finance leaders by providing accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis, projections, gaps and commentary to support decision-making.
- Oversee business partner support to the HR & Finance sub-function teams, including the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
- Support the HR GLG leader and the HR leadership team as the trusted strategic finance business partner, actively participating as part of the HRLT, building relationships with the leadership team and being the single point of contact for Finance topics.
- Support the EF Finance digital transformation efforts including report standardization and automation, and data visualization, through the identification of opportunities for improvements.
- Take a leading role in building collaboration across the broader EF Finance team to help drive standardization, consistency, and efficiency in financial processes across the Enabling Functions team.
- Lead, motivate and develop team members including effective long-term talent development and succession planning, mentoring, assessing capabilities and training, and manage performance with a focus on meeting service agreements to continuously enhance the support to Finance, while role modelling CSL Values.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree desirable. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in finance and accounting including experience working in a global environment and managing people and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management and critical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of finance processes such as financial planning and analysis, as well as developing financial and strategic plans to maximize long term growth and monitor cost savings.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions and work collaboratively.
- Passionate, curious, and creative, with an innovative mindset, a willingness to learn and ability to drive change.
- Excellent problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Results focused with strong analytical thinking skills.

Travel Requirements:
- Periodic travel may be required, less than 20% of time.
