Senior Manufacturing Area Manager

The Opportunity

In addition to contributing to Australia's export economy, CSL has invested and continues to invest in substantial new manufacturing facilities to support our global strategy and provide the network with crucial supply of product sourced from our Melbourne facility.

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Area Manager to join our Filling stream at our Broadmeadows site looking at the new pre-filled syringe line. Reporting to the Operational Readiness Lead you will be responsible for bringing the new filling suite online and then overseeing the operations of a manufacturing area and establish KPI's that support our strategic goals. You will also maintain work systems, procedures, and policies to meet the Master Production Schedule and business needs.

The role

• Lead a motivated team with safety at the heart of everything you do.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement with a patient focussed approach.
• Coach & mentor direct reports & production team members to follow all production activities and to meet the master production schedule and business needs.
• Build and maintain strong lateral relationships with internal stakeholders who will collaboratively support your area's business needs and objectives.
• Track and ensure routine validation and maintenance programs are performed to ensure compliance with current GMP regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with registered conditions and the code of current GMP.

Your skills and experience

• A tertiary qualification in science/engineering or relevant experience.
• 10+ years' experience leading manufacturing or supporting operations in achieving operational targets.
• Ability to review business plans and make recommendations.
• Superior technical skills in Manufacturing and Quality Process and Systems with a focus on aseptic experience
• Experience with a pharmaceutical or allied industry involving line management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP and Aseptic knowledge.
• Understanding of Quality Systems including handling of process deviations and change controls and quality records.
• Experience in change management, strong people leader, and an ability to inspire and motivate.
