The Tax Specialist is vital in providing withholding services to the Bank's clients, ensuring top-notch service and coordinating between departments while maintaining Tax Compliance.

Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Single Point of Contact (SPOC):

    • Act as the primary liaison for the Front Office and other departments.
    • Handle and address queries sent to the team's mailbox and phone line, either directly or by forwarding to the relevant teams.
    • Provide timely and accurate feedback to all inquiries related to tax services.
  • Tax Compliance and Relief at Source:

    • Establish relief at source opportunities with internal departments and custodians.
    • Manage cash breaks on various taxes (e.g., Italian taxes on accrued interests, CH stamp duty, FTTs, Canadian and US additional tax).
  • Disclosure Requests:

    • Respond to disclosure requests within regulatory deadlines (e.g., SRD2 regulation, Tax authorities, Companies).
  • Reporting:

    • Conduct regular and ad-hoc reporting on statistics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Business Partner:

    • Offer expertise and support to other departments (Front Office, Compliance, Legal) on complex situations, new regulations, and projects.
    • Raise risk-related issues to Management as necessary.

Profile

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years in Banking, focusing on Tax services
  • Swiss Residency mandatory
