We are looking for a talented and experienced Sr Marketing Copywriter who is strategic and highly skilled in writing and editing content for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media), working closely with the marketing and design teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging. The right candidate will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style and an inclination for short-form copy.
- Interpret creative briefs to deliver innovative and strategic creative concepts, campaigns, and copy across various marketing channels, including websites, landing pages, social media, email marketing, print collateral, advertisements, and video scripts.
- Develop and conceptualize big ideas that not only meet the brief but push creative boundaries, creating engaging and compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure the visual and written elements work harmoniously to deliver a cohesive brand experience.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling copy that aligns with the brand's tone and voice, ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Conduct thorough research to understand target audience needs, market trends, and competitors, and integrate this knowledge into copy development.
- Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines, while properly depicting the accurate product & guest experience.
- Present copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team and leadership, articulating how they align with the overall brand and product.
- Mentor and guide junior copywriters, offering constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new copywriting and marketing communications technologies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio showcasing a variety of creative copywriting
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in understanding and adapting to different brand voices, tones, and target audiences.
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Proficiency in SEO principles and experience in optimizing content for search engines.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in the cruise, travel, or hospitality industries.
- Experience working on the development of brand guidelines.
- Familiarity with design products like InDesign, Adobe XD, and Figma.
- Experience in video scriptwriting and storytelling.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic design principles.
- A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design.
