What you'll do
- The Global Talent Sourcer reports directly to the business segment Talent Sourcing Manager and is responsible for elevating Viasat’s talent bar by working with Talent Acquisitions Manager and Talent Recruiters to Source and hire top quality technical and non-technical professionals across the organization.
- Will communicate Viasat’s competitive advantage and compelling value proposition to potential candidates and use the most recent market data and critical thinking to support innovative talent attraction strategies.
- Will exemplify Viasat’s “great 8” core values: Inclusive, Earns Trust, Customer Centric, Curious, High-Quality Decisions, Adaptable, Bold, and Accountable.
The day-to-day
- Partner with Global Recruiting team and Hiring Managers.
- Identify potential candidates for international locations through web sourcing, networking, and creative ways to fill talent pipelines.
- Participate in intake calls.
- Perform phone screens, articulating the value of our company and culture.
- Research target companies to develop lists of prospective candidates for active and future roles through channels such as online directories, network platforms, career events etc.
- Manage consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes that support an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience (strategy sessions, interview team prep, debrief sessions and structured interview model)
- Evaluate technical proficiency and screen candidates for both technical and behavioral fit using detailed knowledge of technology industry landscape, diversity recruiting and market trends.
- Prepare and deliver updates to advise key partners on the progress of key recruitment initiatives and hiring metrics.
- Partner with Viasat’s Employer Branding team to develop branding and marketing campaigns and strategies that position Viasat as an Employer of Choice among the markets most critical and sought-after talent.
- Champion DEI focus throughout the end-to-end recruiting process (intake, posting, attraction/posting strategy, interview, assessment, selection and offer).
- Represent Viasat at various career forums and events to engage with candidates and strategic partners.
What you'll need
- 4 to 6 years of Talent Sourcing experience across multiple countries
- Interacting with potential candidates on social media and professional networks (such as. LinkedIn, Slack and HireEz).
- Hands-on experience in various sourcing techniques such as Boolean searches, X-ray search, deep-web search, social networking.
- Ability to work with remote teams and collaborate effectively.
- Passion for Diversity sourcing.
- Ability to source for candidates across levels, functions, and business units.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills & presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting technology (ATS, CRM) primarily Workday, iCIMS.
- Work afternoon shifts India time.
- Experience using market and competitor analysis to define and implement effective, multi- prong talent strategies, assessments and closing approaches in support of regional and global hiring.
- Experience building robust attraction strategies by using various job platforms, social media channels and professional associations and networking affiliations to identify the best talent in the market.
- Extensive discipline and experience with regards to data hygiene; analyzing and reporting funnel metrics.
- Expertise in compliance and privacy standards as well as knowledge and understanding of the relevant employment laws, practices and hiring policies.
