The Operational Excellence Lead supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement across the Liverpool site, helping our leaders and colleagues deliver their business priorities. They will coach and mentor site team members in delivering sustained improvements utilizing lean thinking. This will include identifying and managing key continuous improvement initiatives.
The purpose of this role is to support the CSL enterprise and site Operational Excellence initiatives, collaborate and support leaders on a day-to-day basis that aligns with the overall OE strategy and site priorities. This includes supporting the deployment of the CSL Operating System (COS).
You will be required to lead and deliver continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events and other workshops, always however with the focus on developing the capability of local leaders so they can take ownership of similar future events. You are also required to network effectively with colleagues at other CSL manufacturing sites, understanding and developing good practices. You will also fully connect with the OE Centre of Expertise, making sure that all activities align with global standards.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the ongoing programme of Continuous Improvement.
- Coach and support leaders to help deliver their business priorities.
- Actively support the CSL Operating System, (COS), plan and initiatives on site within key functions. Apply corresponding methodologies, monitoring and management of the progress of the part of the COS roadmap linked with the Site function. Ensure on time delivery within COS defined plans and KPIs.
- Contribute to global teams on OE initiatives linked with Operations or similar activities as required. Support the facilitation of cross site good practice sharing, for example through Communities of Practice.
- Ensure compliance to all Health & Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Qualifications:
- Substantial stakeholder management experience.
- Significant training and possibly certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong coaching and mentorship experience.
- Experienced trainer used to delivering workshops.
- Extensive Project Management experience.
- Proven Change Management experience with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Able to challenge the status quo and motivate colleagues to constantly strive for improved levels of performance.
- Familiar with modern manufacturing techniques,
- High degree of IT literacy including Microsoft office. Experience with Power BI, Shop Floor Reporting Systems, MRP systems (e.g., SAP) an advantage.
- University level degree in relevant discipline (preferred).
- English: Fluent written and oral. Some German language skill would be an advantage.
