Position Overview
The Analyst Intern, Operational Analytics supports a team of Analysts that act as cross-functional internal consultants to the business. The Analyst Intern is primarily responsible for ongoing modeling, analyses, and reporting that help to inform company strategy and to run the business more effectively. The Analyst Intern also provides ad hoc request support to complete requests from internal customers. This position will work primarily in support of our Laboratories, as well as other enabling functions across the business.

Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support fact-based decision-making and measurement of operational effectiveness (i.e., new process operating as designed) and/or economics (i.e., ROI) of company initiatives.
- Maintain analysis, models, or dashboards to support forecasting, capacity planning, economic optimization, process optimization, and performance management processes.
- Analyze and assist other Analysts in analyzing company data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate and assist other Analysts in evaluating the economic and/or operational impact of new products and/or strategies.
- Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed.
- Strong analytical skills.

- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

- Ability to work designated schedule.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends (as needed).
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 100% of a typical working day.
- Ability and means to travel 100% between local Exact Sciences locations.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment towards Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
- Proficient computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization software, such as Tableau.
- Experience with computer programming in R, SAS, Python, SQL, or another language.
- Experience with discreet event simulation using software such as Simul8, AnyLogic, Arena, etc.
- Working understanding of database design and data modeling.
- Working understanding of statistical methods for data analysis.
Salary Range:
$34,000.00 - $54,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
