This is a vital role within the TBS Finance Solutions function— consisting of dynamic teams within Takeda Business Solutions. Finance Solutions provides services in accounting policy & controls – fixed asset & capital accounting – accounting & reporting – intercompany accounting – travel & expense – treasury & cash management – product costing & inventory accounting – and invoice to cash.

Within the TBS organization, the Invoice to Cash and Intercompany (I2C & ICO) Global Process Champion (GPC) is part of the respective Global Process Excellence team and is accountable for delivering and implementing the process-related vision of the GPE. The GPC acts as the first point of contact for Operational Leads and Business Partners to drive end-to-end global process excellence. He/ she defines shared process KPIs and identifies new opportunities as part of the end-to-end global process model. He/ she is responsible for process standardization (monitoring, addressing local deviations and facilitation of user change management/ training/ virtual community), documentation, and functions as an SME for all process-related projects/implementations, and is a key driver in optimization, automation and robotization.
Accelerate value & make an impact by:
- Accountable for global and regional standardization, optimization, automation, and robotization of end-to-end processes related to Invoice to Cash (I2C) and Intercompany (ICO), in alignment with organization’s directives.
- Defining process KPIs and documenting global processes, along with local deviations, while addressing and resolving any identified deviations and process-related issues uncovered through Root Cause Analysis.
- Reviewing Finance Continuous Improvement (CI) and Intelligent Automation (IA) opportunities, leveraging the CI Champion network to assess support needs and initiatives, ensuring their successful completion within the overall GPO Governance Framework.
- Overseeing global systems implementation in the I2C and ICO areas, including Blackline optimization and automation, S4Hana implementation, and Cforia enhancements.
- Reporting progress, challenges, and opportunities to Global Project Executive on assigned tasks.
- Subject Matter Expert for process-related issues from Operations or Business Partners, serving as a single point of contact for process matters and leading related implementations, such as process changes and transitions.
- Participating in global and regional governance forums, representing the process perspective to support business partners.
- Ensuring comprehensive documentation of global processes and regional deviations, while addressing and resolving local deviations as necessary.
- Leading process-related project implementations, acting as a Business Analyst to gather and define requirements in a structured manner.
- Providing regional cost and resource requirements for process optimization initiatives as part of budget planning.
- Contributing to innovation initiatives to identify, evaluate, and assess potential improvements in Finance processes.
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Finance
- 8 years of hands-on experience in I2C or ICO accounting within a large multinational organization
- Strong proficiency in IT, particularly with ERP systems and related technologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of controls and SOX compliance
- Expertise in process design and improvement
- Experience in tracking progress using volume- and outcome-based KPIs
- Demonstrated integrity, self-confidence, and self-awareness
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior corporate management
- Practical expertise in ERP systems
- Deep understanding of controls, GDPR, and SOX compliance
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop, communicate, and implement clear strategies and action plans
- Solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- SAP experience
- HFM experience
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
