About the Role
Our client, a leading company in its sector, is looking for a skilled Python Developer to join their team in Geneva. You will contribute to the development and optimization of complex backend applications, working on data integration, system performance, and business-driven solutions. This role offers the chance to collaborate with stakeholders across different levels, from operational teams to senior management, driving impactful projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
? Develop and maintain backend applications using Python
? Optimize and re-architect existing systems to enhance performance
? Work with TypeScript frameworks (ideally React.js) for frontend integration
? Manage and optimize databases (Oracle, Postgres, Redis)
? Ensure clean, modular, and scalable code following best development practices
? Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
? Participate in code reviews, version control, and debugging processes
Your Profile
? 5+ years of Python development experience in an enterprise setting
? Expertise in backend development and API integrations
? Strong database knowledge (SQL, Oracle, Postgres, Redis)
? Solid understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design
? Proficiency with version control and bug-tracking tools
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
? Excellent communication and teamwork skills
? Proactive and adaptable in a fast-changing environment
Nice-to-Have Skills
? Experience with Docker or other containerization tools
? Background in finance, trading, or commodities
? Degree in Computer Science or a related field
? French language skills are an advantage
