To strengthen our Captive Management Team in Zurich we are looking for a:
Captive Manager 100% (m/f/d)
Aon Insurance Managers Switzerland provides tailor made captive services to its clients in Switzerland. We are looking to recruit a Captive Manager to work as part of a dedicated team who are responsible for the day-to-day management of captive companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Frequently exchange with colleagues, clients, insurers, auditors, authorities and other service providers
- Consult and support captive clients and function holders in day-to-day business and company development
- Be responsible for regulatory matters, corresponding with FINMA requirements and completion of necessary reports and regulatory returns
- Assume responsibility for workstreams and company functions or assisting other workstream leaders and function holders (General Manager, Risk Officer, Compliance Officer), as appropriate
- Provide assistance on Risk and Compliance matters to clients and colleagues as required
- Review and interpret contractual documentation to resolve appropriate accounting treatment
- Prepare for and attend board and committee meetings, present assigned matters and key information to executives
- Review of management accounts, trial balances, statutory accounts, and all other reporting requirements. Providing training and assistance to account preparers
- Be the point of contact for clients and colleagues in connection to accounting matters
- Identify and promote changes and improvements to department policies and procedures with a view to improving efficiency and enhancing colleague and client experience when dealing with the Department
- Analyze and recommend solutions on complex transactions, questions and processes.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
Your profile
- Insurance and/or Accountant qualification
- Strong background gained within (Re)insurance and/or Captive insurance industry
- Good general knowledge of insurance industry products, regulations and developments
- Previous experience of working within a regulated business, e.g. in a risk, compliance or other managerial role
- Eagerness to grow your level of responsibility in sync with your personal progression
- A high degree of confidentiality
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, German and/or French language skills desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills
