For our Search & Evaluation team based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are looking for a

Scientific Fellow Strategic Partnering - 12 months internship

Are you interested in developing your knowledge of the Life Sciences industry? Are you looking for a unique chance to join an innovative company with a unique business model?

 

Join our Search & Evaluation team and be at the forefront of our development strategy by contributing to the identification of promising compounds for in-licensing. In this role, you will conduct scouting activities to look for the next therapeutic assets that will contribute to strengthening Debiopharm’s oncology portfolio.

 

Coached by a team of dynamic experts, you will have a unique opportunity to be exposed to worldwide innovative science, critical strategic decisions, and to support the development of key assets for the company.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Supporting our scouting activities by conducting prospection campaigns to identify high-potential biotech companies in the Oncology sector.
  • Conducting market research by browsing patent landscape, press releases, public presentations, scientific literature.
  • Developing and formalizing new methodologies for scouting to diversify our approaches and improve our scouting efficiency.
  • Attending and then lead partneringcalls in collaboration with partnering managers.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of our databases of biotech companies and therapeutic assets by keeping them up to date and ensuring adequate documentation.
  • Ph.D. or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or a related pharmaceutical field
  • Strong knowledge in Oncology is a must.
  • Experience in drug development is a plus.
  • First working experience in a biotech start-up or exposure to an innovation ecosystem is an asset.
  • Proficient in desk-research activities with good ability to synthetize.
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal), French is a plus.
  • Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Strong willingness to learn, resilience, and curiosity.
