The Production Planner will build and manage the daily/weekly/monthly production schedule in accordance with sales demand and production capacities to meet Supply Chain KPI’s and goals, while utilizing continuous improvement to streamline core processes. This is a hybrid model position requiring 3 days in office and 2 days remote, at our Rochester, NY plant.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure product availability according to the demand (sales forecast / orders/ affiliate stock transfers/SS targets) while ensuring appropriate inventory levels as defined by the Arxada Supply Chain.
- Production schedule provides balance between optimal customer service and plant efficiency. (Time fence, tank capacity levels, campaigns, etc.). Planner should work with plant personnel to understand processes and limitations, so that plan is feasible.
- Rolling finite schedule at least 10 days out (at a minimum) for Finished Products, with Mid and long-term schedule built out as far as feasible (4–6-week goal, longer for difficult products).
- Daily review of exception reporting (impact from new orders, delayed production, missing raw materials, etc.) and production schedule adjustments made accordingly.
- Customer orders must have inventory/future production scheduled to allow confirmation to the customer within 24-48 hours of order placement.
- Proactively review backorder and backorder-to-be reports for opportunities to improve production to meet customer’s request.
- Work cross functionally to minimize Slow Moving/Obsolete Inventory.
- Monitor, report, and action on Supply Chain KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred in business, supply chain or engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
- SAP / MWB or similar planning tool.
- Microsoft Office (heavy with excel).
The expected salary range for this role is $78,300 - $95,700; specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location, and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
