Position description
The Department of Economics at HEC Lausanne seeks applications for a research associate.
The ideal candidate must have expertise in spatial quantitative economics and have completed the Ph.D. before the start date. The research associate will work with Professor Sébastien Houde and a dynamic and diverse research team of post-doc, PhD, and pre-doctoral researchers working on multidimensional climate risks in an urban spatial setting. This is an ideal position for an early career researcher interested in developing a research agenda at the frontier of environmental, urban, and trade economics.

Your responsibilities
100% of your time will be dedicated to research: development, estimation and simulation of quantitative spatial models; and contribution to research papers. You will be assisted by a team of pre-doctoral researchers who will help you in the management and collection of data; and transformation and analysis of data.
Your qualifications
Ph.D. (by start date) in economics and related fields (e.g., operation research) with expertise in spatial quantitative economics who are interested in studying themes related to urban, trade, migration, climate, energy, and environmental economics.
