The Director, Content Excellence & Innovation is a pivotal role within the Customer Engagement & Digital Transformation organization. In partnership with the Senior Director of Customer Engagement & Content Excellence and all business units at J&J IM, this role demands a visionary leader who can blend cutting-edge technology with modern creative content strategies to revolutionize how we engage with our audiences.
The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading content innovation as a new core, competitive capability for J&J IM. This leader will leverage new technology, AI combined with setting new standards to elevate J&J IM’s customer engagement efforts.
This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen, creative vision, and strategic thinking, with a strong emphasis on leading-edge technology applications in content creation and marketing. This role will be a key driver in transforming how the company connects with its audience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership in Content Innovation: Ensure alignment with growth and innovation by directing the evolution of J&J IM’s content strategy, to support the sharing and reuse of content, ensuring the content strategy remains agile to meet market demands and business objectives. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for leveraging generative AI and interactive and immersive and interactive content, ensuring alignment with the company's customer and patient engagement strategy to deliver business objectives.
- Content Capabilities Oversight and Integration: Lead and create modular content strategy and deployment capabilities across businesses. Manage the selection, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge content and generative AI technologies for use across patient and HCP initiatives and platforms. Ensure integration of these capabilities into content production and distribution workflows.
- Content Capabilities Management: Lead and oversee the external Content Strategy partner dedicated to deliver the content excellence strategy, capability roadmap, standards and best practices for immersive experiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business and marketing teams to integrate AI-driven and innovative content solutions that enhance customer engagement, brand visibility, and market positioning. Ensure collaboration between technical teams, creative staff, and business units for cohesive content strategies.
- Content Quality and Compliance Management: Ensure solution use adheres to security, regulatory standards, industry best practices and internal policies.
- Innovation in Content Experiences: Stay ahead of industry trends in immersive technology and GenAI, leading initiatives to explore new applications of technology to drive our marketing efforts forward.
- Analytics-informed content strategy: develop and oversee a content strategy informed by content analytics & integration, utilizing data analytics and omni-channel integration to refine the personalized content delivery and enhance user engagement.
- Team Leadership and Talent Development: Build, lead, and mentor a diverse team of ~4-6 FTEs and ~10-15 contractors, including those responsible for content platforms, measurement, Agile Pod operations and content innovation capabilities.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Engage with key stakeholders, advocating for the integration of interactive and immersive technologies in content strategy. Communicate the value and impact of these initiatives effectively to all levels of the organization including Executive Committee / North America J&J IM Leadership.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee a >$10M annual budget and resources for Gen AI and content innovation, ensuring efficient use of funds.
