We are looking for a Finance Data Engineer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveler's journey for millions of holidaymakers. Job Description
Job Title - Finance Data Engineer
Location - Chiasso, Switzerland
Working model - hybrid from Chiasso
Team - You will join the Data Analytics team in the Technology department.
Level - Professional (working in teams or individually on projects, with emphasis on technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people)
Contract - Permanent - full-time (36 h/week)
What your impact will be:
- Design, development, and continuous improvements of end-to-end data pipelines
- Continuous improvement in delivery, applying engineering best practices to development, monitoring, and data quality of the data pipelines.
- Data model creation, design of ETL activities and unit tests
- Writing documents for mapping of data flows according to business rules
Qualifications
Your expertise:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Information Technology
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced SQL language knowledge and programming languages (e.g. Java, Python)
- Demonstrable ability to work creatively and analytically with a strong aptitude for problem-solving
- Basic experience in Cloud environments (e.g.: GCP, AWS)
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
Desirable:
- Understand stakeholder's business areas and take ownership of their data needs, collect/support business requirement definition - be able to influence and partner with them leveraging on an in-depth cross-functional data knowledge
- Performing analysis to provide insights and summaries to the direct manager, the rest of the team, and other functions
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
- Good knowledge of Google WorkSuite
