The Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC) is looking for a Learning and Quality Manager to join the Executive MBA ETH HSG team.
The emba X is an innovative, flagship joint programme between ETH Zurich and the University of St. Gallen. Project background
As the Learning and Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in participants' learning experience, managing study planning and quality assurance, while orchestrating various stakeholders within both institutions and the private sector. Your responsibilities will include further developing the digital learning offer and overseeing the quality and effectiveness of the programme. Additionally, you will support programme delivery during ETH-hosted weeks.
Job description
Programme Design and Curriculum:
Support continuous curriculum improvement, ensuring alignment with the overall programme content, goals, and industry standards
Develop a comprehensive plan to manage and balance student workload across the curriculum
Manage extracurricular content, such as fireside chats
Manage students' self-reflection tool by designing and preparing reflection questions to support student learning and self-assessment
Digital Learning:
Further develop the online, virtual content of the programme, ensuring high-quality educational materials and an outstanding learning experience
Consolidate the digital strategy for the programme and explore new technologies and tools
Coordinate with multimedia services and with faculty to oversee the production of materials
Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance:
Coordinate the course evaluation process, including preparing, collecting, and analyzing feedback from students, as well as designing feedback sessions
Actively participate in or lead projects aimed at improving the innovativeness of the programme, as well as running benchmark analyses
Coordination and Administrative Tasks:
Work closely with marketing and programme management teams
Plan and support programme delivery for ETH-hosted in-person course weeks
Implement and maintain a documentation and version control system to ensure that all programme materials are up-to-date and archived appropriately
Profile
Master's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field
Proven experience in higher education or in learning & development positions, ideally with experience in research and instructional design
High affinity for new technologies and online learning
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences effectively
Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to get things done and a hands-on attitude
Fluency in English, both written and verbal; German would be an asset
