Job Description
Your responsibilities
Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that combines project management, operations, and impactful collaboration? Join IdeaSquare as a Project Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving innovation and facilitating cutting-edge initiatives.
You will:
- Assume the following functions Act as a Project Manager for a variety of activities, ensuring compliance with organizational rules and administrative procedures.
- Oversee and coordinate IdeaSquare's daily operations, including leave tracking through EDH, payments' processing, travel arrangements, as well as resource management (e.g. CERN cars, safety equipment, dosimeters) in line with personnel contracts and affiliations.
- Track and monitor expenses, ensuring alignment with budget requirements including EU projects. Draft financial reports for IdeaSquare activities.
- Assist the Section Leader in facilitating EU Group's operations and ensure all activities run smoothly including EU projects.
- Support the IdeaSquare team with scheduling and communication activities.
- Welcome and integrate new personnel into IdeaSquare, providing necessary onboarding information and ensuring a seamless offboarding process.
- Draft, process, and distribute official documents such as minutes, procedures, and presentations.
- Ensure the Project's web pages are regularly and accurately updated.
- Coordinate professional visits and organize events to support IdeaSquare's objectives and outreach. Manage registration processes for external personnel and events' participants.
- Take on other responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the Project's objectives.
Your profile
Skills
- Suitable knowledge of the CERN administrative system as required for the job.
- Team Worker but able to take managerial lead when needed.
- Wilingness to professionally grow in the areas of EU policy and EU project management (knowledge of policy would be an asset).
- Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Economics or similar (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
Additional Information

Contract duration: 11 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
