The Purchase Order Specialist is responsible for creating, processing, and managing purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely procurement of goods and services for our Marketing, PR, Digital Marketing and Trade Marketing departments. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, internal departments, and finance teams to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with purchasing policies. This role is based in our Cruise Technical Department, Sorrento, Italy.
• Create and process purchase orders based on approved requisitions.
• Verify purchase requests for accuracy, completeness, and budget alignment.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm order details, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records in the system.
• Work closely with accounts payable to ensure timely invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
• Assist in vendor management, including updating supplier information and evaluating performance.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Generate reports on purchasing activities, spending, and order statuses.
• Fluent English, written/spoken, is a must.
• 1-2 yrs experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in purchase order software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
