What's the role?
As an intern, you will be part of the Testing Team and contribute to the improvement of the system testing infrastructure of the Business Unit Measuring. Besides contributing to the qualification of our products, you will have the opportunity to lead the system testing database project. You will manage the data loading, improvements and maintenance phases as well as the database integration with automated test setups.
Start date is flexible (ideally from August 2025) based upon student's availability, duration between 8 and 12 months.
What does the role involve?
Testing is a process that generates and consumes large amounts of data. It is therefore important to have a robust data management system to ensure efficiency, consistency, and ease of retrieval. As an intern, you will be responsible for the database management, and its viewer, of the System testing department. Your main activities will be to:
- Work closely with the Test managers and the Lab Manager to understand the different test setups and the data generated.
- Understand the existing requirements and the data models.
- Take over the data loading and improvements phases
- Actively participate in the development of the python based testing framework and its interface to the data management system.
- Understand how to define a test plan
- Use advanced test setups (measurements of accuracy, vibration,…)
- Support the development of automated test setups

What you need is:
- Bachelor’s degree and currently Master student in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Programming skills in one or more scripting languages including Matlab, (i)Python.
- Knowledge in PowerBI and Power Automate is a plus.
- Knowledge in database technology and architecture, specifically Microsoft Fabric
- A hands-on mindset with experience in handling benchtop laboratory instrumentation equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters…)
- Good communication skills, with excellent English and interpersonal skills
