Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and experienced Strategic Marketing Analyst to join Explora Journeys. This key role is for a data-driven professional with expertise in marketing performance and financial analysis. The Strategic Marketing Analyst will track KPIs, provide insights, and optimize marketing spend to support business growth and strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals for sustained success.
This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva.
Business Performance Tracking:
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across marketing, sales, and operations.
• Assist in the creation of reports and dashboards to track and analyze business performance.
• Analyze financial data, commercial trends, and market conditions toprovide insights supporting cross-departmental decision-making.
• Provide analytical support for cross-functional initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends and business opportunities.
Budget Coordinator & Planning:
• Lead the development, monitoring, and control of the marketing department's annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Provide input on cost allocation and investment priorities for marketing initiatives.
• Track marketing spend and ensure adherence to budget limits, optimizing spend where possible.
• Preparation of financial forecasts and assist in identifying risks or opportunities related to marketing spend.
• Support the marketing team to anticipate future financial needs for campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on marketing financial performance.
• Analyze marketing costs, ROI, and financial trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving profitability.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and channels with respect to financial performance.
Cost Optimization:
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements across marketing programs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the effective allocation of resources to high-priority initiatives.
• Assist in finding ways to improve profitability by recommending cost-saving measures and better resource management.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Analyze business and financial data to generate actionable recommendations for performance improvement.
• Support the evaluation of marketing campaigns and business strategies by assessing ROI and cost-effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing performance analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of marketing strategies, digital marketing channels, and ROI measurement.
• Strong analytical skills, with a passion for working with data to generate meaningful insights.
• Understanding of financial statements, performance tracking, and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI, SAP, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
