Hematology Franchise Lead (m/f/d)
GSK Switzerland is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Franchise Lead to head our Hematology team. This role entails overall leadership and accountability for both Hematology Marketing and Sales functions within the Oncology business unit. The Franchise Lead will directly manage the Commercial team to ensure the successful execution of product strategies, driving the launches and growth of our innovative hematology portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a scientific background with extensive experience in both Marketing and Sales specifically in the Hematology field, particularly the Multiple Myeloma market, as well a proven track record of direct people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Leads the cross-functional team to execute the strategy for the Hematology Franchise including launches, drive growth ambition and deliver topline financial targets.
- Product Launches: Ultimately owns the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements. Orchestrate market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats to inform strategic decision-making.
- Sales and Marketing: Oversee the excellence in execution of Sales and Marketing to ensure cohesive and effective approaches.
- Financial Forecasting: Delivers the long-term financial forecasting, including sales projections and resource allocation.
- Team Management: Recruits, manages, and develops a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Builds and maintains strong relationships with external (EEs, scientific societies, cooperative groups, etc.) and other internal (Global-Region) key stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitors and evaluates the performance of the Hematology franchise, implementing corrective actions as necessary to achieve targets.
- Compliance: Ensures all activities comply with GSK’s ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and industry codes of practice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, or related field (PharmD or Doctorate degree preferred) or equivalent para-medical education
- Experience specifically in Multiple Myeloma in the Hematology field
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and cross-functional leadership
- Exceptional skills in translating complex data into actionable insights
- Ability to discuss scientific and medical data with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with effective prioritization under pressure
- Strong understanding of Swiss pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory environment, and healthcare reimbursement
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative matrix environment
- Fluency in German and English is mandatory; additional national languages are a plus
