Our Trust and Identity group is looking for an Agile Coach to join leadership of the value stream. We need a motivated and engaged colleague to help grow and develop our teams and processes and to contribute to the vision, strategy and business of the trust and identity portfolio at Switch.
We are a group of twelve technical team members working on applications to deliver a range of trust and identity services including Switch edu-ID, eduroam, Switch Sign and IAM. We operate on DevOps principles in five smaller agile groups and we are responsible for the design, development and operations of those services.

Agile Coach, Trust & Identity (80-100%, all genders)
- Work in partnership with Product Owners and the Business Owner to help them prioritise and drive delivery by helping the team to flow.
- Help the team to continually improve their processes and ways of working, with a strong focus on self-organisation and self-management.
- Work on behalf of teams to eliminate barriers and impediments in a sustainable and productive manner.
- Ensure transparent and open communication and cooperation formally (standups, retros and backlog planning, and processes) and informally (culture of psychological safety).
- Focus on the individual development and organisational needs of team members e.g. act as a mentor, provide regular 1:1s, take care of recruiting, performance evaluation and other HR related tasks.
- You have had hands on experience with software development and/or operation of cloud technologies such as k8s but you know how important people and processes are to transform these into services and this is where you like best to work.
- You have had hands on experience of modern DevOps practices. E.g. SCRUM in a leadership role.
- Key areas include agile development workflow management, testing, release, and deployment.
- You are prepared to dive into process and DevOps standards and related methodologies in depth (examples: ITIL4, ISO 27001, SRE practices, Agile, Kanban, SCRUM) so that you understand how Switch policies need to be extended or adopted to your user community expectations, your teams, and the environment.
- We're on the critical path for over a million users daily.
- Our main technologies are Java and PHP.
- Our main developer environment and platforms are Kubernetes and Gitlab and we develop and maintain our end to end pipelines.
- Our main workflow environment is JIRA/Jira Service Management and Confluence.
