Position Summary
The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé's leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As a "Machine Quality Specialist", you will drive project quality management activities from ideation to launch to ensure successful launch of Nestlé incl. Nespresso coffee machines and systems (machine, capsule, coffee). You will ensure it meets the quality success criteria expected by our customer and consumers and is in line with the STC ways of working. In this position, you will be the guardian of the quality by design, Food Safety and control performance, and you will ensure continuous improvement throughout the development phases.

A Day in the Life of a Machine Quality Specialist
- Ensure new machine projects are supported by strong validation plan to make sure the machines fulfill all requirements established in concept and development phase
- Ensure validation plan completion in line with quality success criteria
- Be the guardian of Safety for consumers (Food Safety, electrical, mechanical...)
- Ensure new machine projects follow the established development process, related gates, milestones and intermediate activities using established procedures, instructions and forms
- Ensure support on systems quality activities (capsule, coffee) as per needs
- Ensure the team is supporting active projects by acting as the guardian of quality
- Review and challenge proposed design and concepts for targeting 0 defect at machine launch
- Know-how of electromechanics machines criticalities from a design and process point of view. Ability to identify product risks and define a proper validation plan
- Develop the team through training, everyday coaching, leading by example, lessons learned implementation
What will make you successful
- Background in engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronic or similar field
- Solid experience in supplier/OEM factory quality management and improvement supporting new product development, validation and launch
- Understanding for product testing, validation and electromechanics development phases
- Quality system audit and process audit management experience
- Compliance management experience related to product safety in food & electrical is a strong plus
- Enthusiasm for networking and building relationships within the quality community withing Nestlé group or Strong stakeholders management skills and contribution to quality community within Nestlé group
- Leader or participation in a change management project
- Team player and experience collaborating in matrix and cross-functional environments
- Openness to explore different areas of quality (machine, capsule, coffee) and adapt to business needs
- English business proficiency is mandatory with good writing and speaking skills and the ability to convince others, achieve consensus and follow agreed actions
