As a Director Software Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers in delivering high-quality applications across diverse sectors, including banking, insurance, pharma, railway, retail, and resources. Your role will encompass.

Your mission

• Engineering Excellence: Architecting and implementing robust backends designed for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Team Leadership: Guiding a team in the design and development of Java applications, ensuring an exceptional user experience in collaboration with other teams.
• Process Optimization: Overseeing the design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Involvement in architecture design, DevOps, system integration, and test automation, tailored to the needs of each project.

Who you are

• Educational Background: A degree in an IT- or tech-related field.
• Experience: At least five years of experience in a leadership role, addtionalJava development experience is an advantage.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in globally supported frameworks, particularly Java and Spring. Experience or certifications in other tech areas a plus.
• Soft Skills: A strong appreciation for clean, well-documented code, with a cooperative, agile, and solution-oriented mindset. Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in one of the regional languages (GER/FR/IT) are essential.
