Your mission
The role of Technical Coordinator is an integral role in the sucessful delivery of the technical elements of ESC25. The role involves directly supporting the Technical Director - Show and their team, as well as being the primary contact for technical suppliers for their administrative requirements in the pre-production phase (10 days: March + April 2025) and production phase (45 days: 7th April to 22 May 2025). It will also involve complex liaison with other ESC25 functions, both within SRG SSR, the EBU & Venue.
The role will have the following responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Supports the Technical Director Show in running the technical department and delivering a high standard of support to suppliers
- Manage all consumable and minor equipment orders for the Technical team, within the procurement rules, and co-ordinate delivery of orders to correct departments..This will also include managing a team of runners, and their petty cash reconciliation
- Keep the load in & load out scheduels up to date with input from team members and suppliers
- Provide admin and office support to the team as required
- Ensure communication is following correctly between the team and beyond to the suppliers and wider stakeholders
- Comply and respond to all SRG procedural, administration, and operational guidelines, and instructions
Your profile
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the live event sector, particular with similar cooridnation responsibilities large groups of staff & suppliers
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of scheduling and keeping structured documents & filing systems
- Experienced at tracking budgets and managing runners
- Great people skills and the ability to support and be part of a team
- Broad knowledge of the various production disciplines very useful
- Fluent in written & spoken English a must to ensure effective communication within a diverse, multinational production team. Fluency in German also beneficial
