Your team
Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.
To strengthen our Funds Execution team, part of the Funds and Private Assets department within the Technology & Operations division, we are hiring a Funds Trader, specialising in the execution of mutual (long-only) fund trades. As a new member of the team, you will be expected to place trades on all types of fund products, with a specific specialisation on mutual fund products to serve our client base. In your role, you will be involved in the whole lifecycle of a trade, from order receipt to final booking and become a trusted person within the Funds and Private Assets department.
Your role
- Manage an orderbook of fund counterparties, covering primarily mutual but also hedge fund administrators.
- Receive, validate, and place subscription, redemption and switch orders with fund administrators and management companies or via third-party platforms such as Vestima and AllFunds.
- Ensure prompt receipt and confirmation by counterparties of all orders in your book and respond to all queries (including but not limited to account openings, payments and AML/KYC) from fund administrators.
- Coordinate information flows between all stakeholders (internal clients, middle office, billing, payments and compliance).
- Manage all trading-related risks linked to order placement and react appropriately in case of trading incidents.
Your profile
- A university degree in finance, economics, law or a related field or a CFC in banking/commerce.
- Solid experience in back-office operations and fund-trading, preferably with a strong foundation in mutual funds.
- Ability to combine diplomacy and flexibility all while maintaining a strong team spirit.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage stress in high-pressure situations while maintaining analytical skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Excellent command of French and English (both written and spoken, one mother tongue and the other at least C1 level).
- The successful candidate must be resident in Switzerland.
