To reinforce our Digital Printing Team, we are looking for a 'R&D Materials Engineer' with material chemistry background.
Mission & Key responsibilities
- Understand fluid mechanics to run compatibility testing and to implement the reversed compatibility approach
- Improve & maintain materials interactive & online data base
- Centralize of material analysis requests
- Elaboration and maintain up to date a representative material compatibility kit
- Buildup, manage and use a multifunctional representative test rig for materials validation
- Interaction with technical and specific suppliers (Ink jet print heads, filters, … )
- Redaction & maintain the standard operation procedure
- Act as material expert in all development of ink or press
- This job requires 20%-30% to Fribourg area
Skills & Experience
- BSc in Materials Science & Engineering, chemistry, or a related field
- Knowledge of fundamental inks & material chemistry (fluidic, rheology, … )
- Knowledge of physico-chemistry analytical methods (particles size, SEM, viscosity)
- Proven experience in material science or applied material chemistry
- Ability to work in a cross functional organization in the context of development of Material Expertise
- Ability to work in autonomy
- Goal-driven, organized, and efficient
- Ability to documented reports
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
