JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals team is seeking a Director of Business Human Resources to serve as a strategic HR partner for its Global I&D, Marketing, Strategy and Finance organizations of the Abbott Medicines business (EPD). Reporting to the HR Divisional Vice President of EPD, the position will oversee circa 800 employees globally located and with Product Development centers based in Germany, Brazil, Colombia and India. The primary scope of the position will be to work closely with the business leaders to drive organization development, inclusion and talent development.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develops strategic HR plans per business needs.
- Be an integral partner to senior functional, regional and country operations leaders regarding the design, development and implementation of specific people/culture and workplace initiatives and programs.
- In partnership with business leaders and practice center area leaders, develop and implement a talent and inclusion plans that ensures the organization has the right talent and environment to deliver on financial commitments.
- Provide coaching, guidance and training to build capabilities of the leadership team, including succession planning and development planning.
- Ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity; ability to pivot from strategic to tactical execution.
- Bring thought leadership and experience to change management initiatives in the business.
- Ensure HR policies and regulations compliance are met in respective client groups.
- Ensure external businesses and talent trends are being reviewed/benchmarked to develop best practices for the future.
- Serve as a thought leader for larger HR organization to stimulate and drive division innovative initiatives and programs to support the business short and long-range plans.
- Establishes, builds and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from Area/Country HR, Practice Areas and HR Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet and exceed business needs.
- Strong communication and analytical skills to drive organizational performance
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS :
- 10+ years of experience in Human Resources
- In-depth knowledge about HR Processes, employment and legal regulations
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical organizations preferred
- Experience working within a matrix and global environment
- Experience working in highly regulated/unionized countries preferably in Europe.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence, lead and transform
- Understanding of key business and financial drivers and demonstrated strong delivery of HR results.
