The De Novo Branch Manager SAFE Act is a senior management professional responsible driving the growth of a new branch (De Novo) through proactive business development activity and community engagement. Providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in order to drive business growth, acquire new relationships, grow the book of business, ensure a culture of world-class customer experience and foster community engagement in a newly opened Branch (De Novo). The overall objective of this role is to lead a world class team, grow balances, build customer loyalty, collaborate with key partners across Wealth, Lending, Business Banking and Community Engagement and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales plans and drive production goals, including building referral network and relationships with internal partners and external contacts
- Create an environment through activity-based coaching and performance development and implement/execute coaching plan to develop employee’s skill set to achieve individual/branch goals
- Develop and execute integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies that are aligned with the Retail Bank's priorities, execute business plan to achieve expected goals in all business categories
- Support portfolio growth by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase client acquisition and ensure clients receive optimal service and monitor/adhere to operational controls
- Collaborate with branch partners to successfully achieve goals, build customer relationship and deliver customer service
- Develop a Center of Influence (COI) network by engaging in business networking and community activities. Actively represent Citibank in the community, create local community awareness that the bank is critically focused on partnering in the community and providing multi-product banking solutions to our clients. Maintain frequent interaction with COIs, community leaders and senior business contacts, with the goal of developing consistent business referral that will contribute to market share growth.
- Leverage workforce planning tool to optimize staffing in branches and set expectations for branch staff, fostering an environment in which team members work together to achieve all business goals
- Integrate segment partners, to drive sales and drive outbound sales activities including: representing Citi and building partnerships in the community
- Conduct daily proof processes to ensure adherence to operational requirements; investigate controllable losses among branch staff; provide coaching and manage performance on decisions used
- Lead hiring process and coordinate performance management, compensation, communication and employee evaluation of branch staff
- Responsible for planning, budgeting and policy formulation and involved in short-term planning resource planning
- This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry ("Registry") and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before referring interested clients to Citibank for their mortgage needs, to maintain and renew that registration on an annual basis, to update registration information with the Registry on a timely basis, and to provide that unique identifier to consumers as required by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Citi policies and procedures.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience required
- Previous experience in banking or financial industry preferred
- Sales management experience preferred
- Registered or willing to register as mortgage loan originator with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing
- Obtain or willing to obtain unique identifier from Registry
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Consistently demonstrates analytic skills
- NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$88,320.00 - $132,480.00
