Description

• Dispute Resolution: Handle pre-contentious and contentious cases, including litigation, arbitration, claims, and mediations, ensuring strategic management and reporting of high-value disputes.
• Corporate & Commercial Support: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including M&A, project finance, and operational contracts.
• Business Advisory: Provide legal counsel to trading desks and regional offices, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations (including OHADA law, GDPR, and IP matters).
• Board & Governance: Support board meetings, prepare resolutions, and oversee corporate governance matters across affiliates.

Profile

• Dispute Resolution Expert: Proven track record in handling complex, cross-border disputes, litigation, and arbitration - ideally in the energy, infrastructure, or commodities sectors.
• Versatile Legal Advisor: Strong background in M&A, finance, and commercial contracts, with exposure to both civil and common law jurisdictions.
• International Mindset: Fluent in French and English, with experience navigating legal landscapes in Africa (OHADA law) and Europe.
• Resilient & Strategic: Proactive, solution-focused, and comfortable managing high-pressure cases with commercial sensitivity.
