In short
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced transportation operations specialist, with a focus on optimization and continuous improvement, to join our team Global Inbound Transportation COE (Centre of Excellence) Team in Zurich. The COE team is part of the Global Inbound Transportation team which is responsible for the timely and optimal delivery of products from suppliers to warehouses. The COE team lead initiatives & projects to drive continuous improvement and increase inbound transport operations efficiencies. In this role, you will be responsible for certain focus areas (Business Analytics, System Automation, Procurement support) and also lead optimisation projects. You will lead/contribute to the development and management of new tools, processes, projects and SOPs in order to maintain/improve service levels, reduce costs, reduce complexity and to deliver a high level of responsiveness and flexibility. This is a temporary role until end of December 2025 at 50% work capacity.
Your Mission

Drive excellence in development and implementation of key focus areas namely business analytics, automation, procurement support, continuous improvement initiatives and cross functional projects

Spearhead initiatives to contribute to the development and management of processes and SOPs in order to maintain/improve service levels, reduce costs, reduce complexity and to deliver a high level of responsiveness and flexibility

Work with the various stakeholders (Logistics Service Providers, Production Planning, Regional Operations, Supply Planning, Customs and Finance) to drive engagement and involvement where relevant, for all COE activities

Continuously connect with key stakeholders in the markets on global processes and policies. Develop and implement potential continuous improvements activitie

Actively participate in Quarterly/Monthly Business Review with LSPs to drive and support areas of continuous improvement

Standardize, align and constantly re-assess global transport requirements on logistics service providers, operational processes and connectivity / data processes to support business growth

Lead the integration of LSPs into the ON system landscape.Apply best practice sharing and strive for standardization and harmonization of processes whenever possible

Manage the change management approach for respective projects and programs. Ensure changes are smoothly and successfully implemented in the markets to achieve lasting benefits

As conflicts and escalations arise within projects and programs, identify solutions and propose these to the project/program management resp. sponsor and support resolution in a timely and appropriate manner
