Senior Analyst, Insurance Excess Casualty Pricing
Exton, PA | New York, NY | USA
In this role you will be a part of the North America Excess Casualty Insurance actuarial pricing team. You would be producing actuarial analyses, insights, and possibly tools for Excess Casualty actuaries and underwriters based in the US and Bermuda. You will have exposure to both the Actuarial and Underwriting teams through individual account pricing and pricing model support.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
· Utilize pricing tools and actuarial acumen to produce account-specific pricing guidance accurately, timely, completely, and with reasonable independence. Review available information for model input quality control. Deep dive into and learn various components and compilation of complex rating algorithms. Collaborate with other actuaries when forming pricing guidance. Effectively communicate selections to underwriters.
· Support development, testing, and calibration of pricing models and dashboards alongside various other actuaries and teams.
· Ad hoc projects to improve the quality of data that is used in pricing analysis.
· Provide training and education to Underwriters for the understanding and proper usage of pricing models and methodologies.
You will report to a qualified actuary on the Insurance North America Excess Casualty Pricing and Analytics team.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
· Entry to early career level
· Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field
· Compelling technical skills in Excel/VBA, R, R Shiny, SQL, and/or Python
· In the process of actuarial exams with intent to qualify in the Casualty Actuarial Society
· A focus on quality and integrity
· Motivated, organized, strategic thinker with an outstanding collaborative work ethic
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail
· Adaptable to new challenges and proactive for innovative problem solving
· Enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn and develop
· Analytical skills and ability to manipulate or handle large datasets
· Ability to effectively articulate complex information in a clear, concise, and insightful way

The U.S. pay range for this position is $46,500 - $83,000. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
