We are seeking a skilled and adaptable individual with a strong technical background to enhance our supply chain development organization. You will be responsible for managing the growth of new and existing suppliers, improving their capabilities and the production network. Additionally, you will ensure the reliability of our supply chain in close collaboration with strategic procurement and technical experts.
Supplier Development Manager- Machining 80 - 100% (m/w/d)
Activities
- Perform technical and quality audits at new or reassessed suppliers and create action plans for qualification and improvement
- Familiarize potential suppliers with BC standards and norms, and guide new supplier development until operational procurement release (on-boarding process)
- Manage and execute projects for part development with new or existing suppliers, including Make-or-Buy initiatives
- Support and monitor suppliers on identified parts, issues, and agreed improvement actions, including trial orders until handover to Operational Procurement
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives following escalations with preferred suppliers and collaborate with the BCx Production network on parts development and supply chain optimization
- Coordinate with internal interfaces during development phases and aid technical experts in maintaining the Asset/Tooling database in SAP
- Support Category Management in projects.
Requirements
- University Degree or HF in Technical subject (Mechanical or similar)
- 3-4 years of experience in Operational or Strategic Procurement plus an additional 1-2 years experience in Supplier Development and / or Education and / or practical experience with heavy engineering products
- Extensive work experience and technical expertise in machined parts, precision machining production or work planning/production engineering
- Education, training, or experience in Project Management will be advantageous for the position
- Experience or knowledge of working in SAP-Environment
- Experience or knowledge of use of Microsoft Office tools and presentation technics
- Experience in Reciprocating compressors components or in similar / equivalent products could be of advantage.
