The Swine Clinic at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern, as an accredited training centre of the European College of Porcine Health Management (ECPHM) is offering a Residency position in Porcine Health Management.
The residency program provides advanced training in porcine health management, with a strong focus on clinical practice, herd health management, applied research, and teaching. The program prepares the candidate for the specialist examination of the ECPHM and offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in swine medicine and research.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical work in swine health and production, including farm visits and diagnostic procedures.
- Involvement in teaching activities for veterinary students.
- Participation in research projects related to swine health.
- Contribution to the continuous development of the Swine Clinic and collaboration with national and international stakeholders.
Candidate Profile - A degree in veterinary medicine (DVM or equivalent).
- At least one year of experience in veterinary practice or a rotating internship, preferably in swine medicine.
- Strong interest in swine health management and willingness to pursue ECPHM specialization.
- Good command of English; knowledge of German or willingness to learn is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
