Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly dedicated and client driven Relationship Management professional to join our State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) team in Switzerland. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in servicing our local client base and supporting the expansion of SSGA’s institutional business in Switzerland. Reporting directly to the Head SSGA AG Switzerland & Head Institutional Business Switzerland you will have the opportunity to become part of a highly driven, multi-cultural team.
As a Relationship Manager within SSGA’s Institutional Business, your role is to ensure our clients receive exceptional client service across the full lifecycle of their experience with SSGA. You are responsible for managing your own book of client relationships, in partnership with an Account Executive, and anticipating, understanding and addressing the clients’ needs on a day-to-day basis. You must also build strong internal relationships across the broader sales, operations, legal, compliance and other internal teams which are critical to the end-to-end client lifecycle.

What You Will Be Responsible For
- Managing and building strong and long-lasting relationships with Swiss institutional investors (including pension funds, insurances, foundations, single family offices as well as investment consultants). Develop and maintain a comprehensive and thorough understanding of each assigned
client, including: their objectives, challenges, current and future needs, and decision-making process. - Contribute to client satisfaction and retention via best-in-class client service capability and activity.
- Serving as primary day-to-day contact for clients and their service providers (e.g. investment consultant, custodians, administrators) and providing them with an exceptional client service experience. This includes, supporting them with their investment related queries, investment restructures, contract negotiations, trading preparations, reporting, projects, etc.
- Leading the onboarding as well as restructuring of clients’ investment portfolios together with internal as well as external stakeholders i.e. coordinating between external parties and our Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Global Product, Marketing and other teams.
- Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with internal partners to deliver a consistent, scalable and controllable service model.
- Prioritize activities across business lines and stakeholders to ensure client deadlines are met and internal resources are leveraged appropriately.
- Manage a set of core clients independently and take full accountability and responsibility for the relationship.
- Bring the best of the firm (SSGA and State Street overall) to the client. You should be the client’s conduit into SSGA and, in partnership with the Account Executive, the subject matter expert on the client for the rest of the firm. Act as the client’s advocate, deepening SSGA’s understanding of your clients to enable SSGA to tailor solutions that address their needs.
- Develop existing relationships & cross-selling of SSGA solutions and products.
- Prepare and perform client portfolio review as well as due diligence meetings.
- Work on completion of Request for Proposals (RfP) / Request for Information (RfI) / Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ).
- Develop and maintain a strong local market industry knowledge, including competitors’ business models, activities, etc.
- Contribute to projects related to enhancing client experience as well as cross-regional/strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business or Finance (University/FH/HF) and/or CFA/CAIA/AZEK designation
- Several years of relevant experience in the Swiss financial industry with institutional/professional investors
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently yet also maintain strong team orientation
- Experience operating in a dynamic environment while managing various stakeholder needs and overall business risk factors
- Attentive to detail with an ability to look critically at a problem and proposed solutions
