Key Account Associate - Drug Channel
** This is a remote role but required to be on Eastern Time Zone. Communication with various time zones is required, especially with Germany and California. **
Mission:
To support the Key Account team by executing strategies, managing smaller partners and categories, and driving key business initiatives.
Scope:
The Key Account Associate reports to the Director, Key Accounts. This role is responsible for analyzing sales data, conducting competitor research, and facilitating key milestone meetings to drive informed decision-making. The Key Account Associate works autonomously, ensuring tasks are completed with minimal supervision while collaborating across teams to align initiatives with broader business goals.
Role Expectations:
Strategic Support & Category Growth
- Develop a strong understanding of the business, brand vision, and market trends to effectively support account strategies and partner growth.
- Assist in developing and executing strategic plans to meet sales, growth, and expansion objectives for assigned partners.
- Strengthen and expand partner relationships across multiple departments, ensuring effective communication and value-added service.
- Support the Director, Key Accounts during negotiations and assist in monthly forecast calls by identifying action items and potential roadblocks.
Milestone Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Organize and facilitate key milestone meetings (e.g., Roadmap, Midsight, Hindsight), ensuring alignment on category progress and future plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional deliverables to ensure smooth execution of initiatives, client expansion, and critical projects.
- Take concise meeting notes and communicate feedback promptly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships across internal departments, including key accounts teams and brand leaders.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales data and retail metrics to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities for category refinement.
- Provide regular reports on performance, sales trends, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to ensure category competitiveness and alignment with client needs.
- Serve as a point of contact for data-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and clear communication.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Manage data entry, milestone tracking, and calendar maintenance to ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Organize product samples for meetings, presentations, and product reviews.
- Ensure effective execution of client expansion and critical projects, maximizing efficiency and operational excellence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, identifying and resolving service opportunities promptly.
Immediate Critical Outcomes:
- Establish relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (First 30 Days)
- Gain a strong understanding of industry trends, client demographics, and promotional strategies (First 60 days)
- Align with ongoing projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless execution (First 60 days)
- Develop an understanding of merchandise planning, logistics, and cross-functional collaboration (First 90 days)
Critical Experiences:
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, merchandising, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of the apparel product lifecycle and the merchandising process.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using retail math, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- SAP and retail software experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
