The Distribution Requirements Planner/ Material Planne r is responsible for developing and executing efficient distribution plans to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Responsible for the procurement of raw materials and packaging component to support customer demand. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to accurately predict future demand for products.
- Distribution Planning: Develop and implement distribution plans that optimize transportation routes, inventory levels, and warehouse utilization.
- Inventory Management: Generate purchase orders and manage inventory replenishment. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory costs.
- Material Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive material planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and ensure timely deliveries to support production
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and optimize distribution operations.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to order fulfillment, transportation, and inventory management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve distribution processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent 5-7 years of experience in a supply chain role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain principles
The expected salary range for this role is $80.000-$90.000, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
