This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva.
As a Global Head of Commercial Strategy & Sales Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of commercial initiatives worldwide, optimizing sales operations, and enhancing communication across internal teams, trade partners, and guests. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, capable of bridging commercial, marketing, finance, legal, and IT functions to ensure consistency, efficiency, and an exceptional end-user experience.
Commercial Strategic Leadership & Support
• Provide regular commercial performance reports to the President and CCO, offering market-by-market analysis, data-driven insights, and strategic recommendations to optimize sales and revenue streams.
• Anticipate and respond to market requests, ensuring that the right channels are activated at the right time to drive commercial success.
• Take a proactive approach to competitive analysis, tracking industry trends—not just within luxury cruising, but across ultra-luxury hospitality and high-end travel experiences—to position Explora Journeys ahead of the curve.
• Shape and execute a forward-thinking global commercial strategy, ensuring the global sales team is aligned and empowered to perform at the highest level
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Optimization
• Lead internal commercial communications, ensuring global sales teams are aligned on important areas such as new promotions, product updates, asset toolkits, and that all the global teams are aligned and clear on processes and best practices as well as marketing activities
• Oversee and execute external communications related to itinerary changes, guest documentation, and trade partner updates.
Legal &Compliance
• Collaborate with the Legal team to maintain and update key commercial agreements, ensuring market-specific compliance and contractual clarity across Booking Terms & Conditions, Trade Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
• Oversee the alignment of promotions and tactical offers with legal requirements, ensuring they are localized and commercially effective while working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to uphold transparency, mitigate risk, and maintain the integrity of all contractual commitments.
• Manage and review all booking-related documentation generated through Seaware, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment across FIT bookings, Groups and by market.
• Deep understanding of the complexities of cruise reservations and systems, working closely with Legal, Revenue, Trade Support, and IT teams to maintain compliance, enhance operational efficiencies
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial strategy, sales operations in the luxury cruise, travel, or hospitality industries. CVs from other industries will not be processed.
• Strong background in commercial communications, trade relations, and sales operations.
• Experience working with Seaware, Salesforce, and SAP is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, enhance operational efficiency, and drive process improvements.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced, global environment while ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English.
• Openness to travel internationally.
