IT Engineer (Operational Technology / Computer System Validation)

The Position

The Role

The position is based in Dubai, UAE and will report directly to IT Head, Acino Pharmaceuticals FZ LLC, UAE. This role will be responsible for providing technical support, managing user administration, maintaining the IT and OT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations across the organization and build strong internal control within the entity to align with Acino global policy and adherence to the reporting requirements and timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the primary contact for OT support and desktop issues, logging tickets, and coordinating with outsourced partners.
• Managing user administration, access, and password control for GxP OT/IT systems, including IPC, HMI, PLC, on various manufacturing and quality control instruments including standard IT systems.
• Supporting computer system validation in alignment with GAMP5, EU Annex 11, 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP regulations.
• Preparing Standard Operating Procedures, QMS documents, protocols, and executing tests for GxP systems such as IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Performing regular backups, monitoring backup operations (especially for GxP systems and servers), verifying data periodically, and escalating any failures as needed.
• Conducting audit trails and reviewing user access for OT/IT systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Performing preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, coordinate with external support partners when necessary.
• Managing IT onboarding and offboarding, installing and configuring operating systems for end-users and servers, troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
• Solid knowledge of Cisco network environments and IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud systems, Azure portal, Intune, Active Directory, firewall management, and Office 365.
• Assisting with IT hardware and software procurement.
• Ensuring security of endpoints and servers and maintaining an updated IT inventory.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration, preferred in manufacturing plant.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, SAP, and general IT infrastructure management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

• Strong communicator and team-oriented personality with a reliable and careful way of working
