Your mission at Climeworks is to deliver the I&C scope of first-of-a-kind direct air carbon capture plants via direct contribution or via supervision of EPCs and control system vendors. You produce or supervise the production of instrument lists, instrument datasheets, IO lists, instrument install details, wiring diagrams, instrument and network cable schedules, junction box plans, cable tray layouts, MTO, BOMs, last-mile instrument air designs.

You are a cross-project technical authority who writes, maintains, and assures compliance with I&C technical specs and deliverable templates. You adapt industry-standard practice to the needs of the direct air carbon capture industry. You contribute to P&ID reviews, control narrative creation, functional safety requirements, DCS and PLC code reviews.

You model and optimize system cost.

You support your designs by travelling to site and to suppliers (about 20%).

You coach and develop your team members.

You have 7+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls at EPCs or OEMs in oil and gas, power, manufacturing, naval, or other industry with similar requirements.

You have working knowledge of I&C engineering deliverables such as instrument lists, instrument datasheets, IO lists, instrument install details, wiring diagrams, instrument and network cable schedules, junction box plans, cable tray layouts, MTO, BOMs, last-mile instrument air designs. Familiarity with analyzers is a plus.

You have a solid knowledge of codes, standards, and industry standard practices related to instrumentation and controls, plant design, and safety.

You have exposure to control narratives, DCS / PLC programming, and industrial network troubleshooting, and you want to learn more.

You have been exposed to commissioning, and you are motivated to get your hands on our plants.

You are a learner, a system-level thinker and controls all-arounder, able to solve problems involving hardware, software, sensors, actuators, networking, and plant engineering.

You are motivated to enter the impactful and fast-growing climate technology sector.
