THE FIM
Founded in 1904, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) is an International Federation formed by 123 National Federations throughout the world and is recognised as the sole competent body in motorcycle sport by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The FIM is the worldwide governing body for motorcycle sport and the global advocate for motorcycling. With some 50 World Championships organised under its aegis, the FIM works for the benefit of the sport and all its stakeholders.
The FIM IT Department has a temporary position available for a motivated, team-oriented junior PHP Developer. Working in a small team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the in-house made PHP applications and user support. You will work under the supervision of the FIM IT Manager.
Temporary (9-12 months) – full time (100%)
Position available IMMEDIATELY - Start ASAP
Based in Mies (VD), Switzerland
Your duties in this position include mainly the following:
- Participate in the full cycle of the development of new specific features under the supervision of the IT Manager
- Maintain existing specific applications: updates, bug fixes, migrations
- Train the users for the new implemented functionalities and create user guides
Your profile
- HES diploma or BS/MS degree in computer science or equivalent with a maximum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Proven experience in PHP development (Yii framework is a plus)
- Good knowledge of databases / SQL and HTML 5 / CSS / JavaScript
- Knowledge / experience in developing and integrating APIs / web services (RESTfull) is a plus
- Knowledge / experience in integrating SSO services is a plus
- Good knowledge of security aspects of web development, Windows and Linux
- Good knowledge of a control versioning system (GIT / Git Flow is a plus)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, customer- and service-oriented approach
- Fluency in spoken / written French, with a working knowledge of English
- Versatility, flexibility, autonomy, team spirit
- Interest in motorcycle sports is a plus
