We are R&D Point of Care System Development & Integration – the architects of ready to use IVD systems for near-patient testing. Using our blood gas analysis technology, healthcare professionals are able to make decisions for patients in critical situations - in the emergency room, in the intensive care unit and in the operating room.
We are looking for you! You will be part of our Systems Testing team, where we currently assess issues and evaluate improvements of the next generation blood gas analysis systems. Together with the lab team and the development teams, you will define and execute performance tests, evaluate the results and provide recommendations of whether issues are fixed and improvements can be released to the market.
This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, on site.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute measurements with blood on our blood gas analyzers. Prepare blood samples of various compositions for testing, e.g. varying glucose concentration, hematocrit, etc.

Support the team in testing and analyzing the performance of the instruments and feed back findings to the development team

Document your results and assessments according to regulatory requirements
Who You Are
You are enrolled in your MSc or have completed your BSc studies at a university, preferably in the field of Biomedical engineering, Biomedical lab diagnostics or Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry after February 2024 and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.
Furthermore you are

An experienced lab worker who is excited to perform measurements using blood to assess the performance of our instruments

Willing to conduct a Hepatitis B vaccination 3 months in advance of the internship (or lab work, respectively), or confirm your Hepatitis B blood-titre (required)

Motivated to work in a regulated environment and to create structured documentation and written reports of your work (required)

Able to work independently and excited to network within the team to gain support for your own work
Technical details:
The start date for the internship is March 2025 with a duration of 6-12 months.
Part-time employment is not possible.
It is not possible to write a thesis during the internship.
The application deadline is November 11th. Interviews will take place in late November and early December.
