Data Analyst, Internal Audit (60-80%)

Data Analytics navigates business & IT audit specialists through Vontobel’s data driven business model. At Vontobel, we use the full range of data analytics techniques, including advanced process mining & machine learning. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, possesses a strong educational background as well as solid analytical skills. We are looking for a highly motivated team-player who wants to get an in-depth understanding of Vontobel’s banking processes.

What would your role be?

Analyze data from various sources to achieve a holistic view of Vontobel from a data perspective.

Apply various data analytics techniques in an audit environment.

Understand the banking business and proactively contribute with your expertise to audits.

Develop internal dashboards and maintain them.

Build and maintain good relations with other data analysts and engineers across Vontobel.

What are we looking for?

A professional with university degree (B.Sc., M.Sc, PhD) in science, (business-) mathematics, (business-) computer science.

Proficiency in Python & SQL or at least one common programming or scripting language.

Ability to translate auditor requests into practical algorithms and suggest meaningful data analyses.

Ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists.

Motivated to constantly learn about new data analytics possibilities.

Knowledge in financial industry as well as its processes and products is a plus.

Experience in audit or in a risk-focused department like BRM, forensic or AML is advantageous.
