Position Summary
As "Global Customer Activation Manager (CRM)", your will lead the global strategy and activation of direct-to-consumer communications across Email, SMS, Push Notifications, and Direct Mail. You will ensure these touchpoints are seamlessly integrated into our omnichannel marketing ecosystem, delivering consistent, high-impact, and data-driven engagement across the full customer journey. You will sit within the Digital Marketing Activation team and act as a key connector between Consumer Engagement Strategy, CRM Programmes, Digital Activation, and market teams. You will embed best practices around audience segmentation, automation, and personalisation to elevate global CRM maturity and empower local markets with frameworks, templates, and insights that drive acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
A Day in the Life of a Global Customer Activation Manager (CRM)
- Define the strategic role of owned channels (Email, SMS, Push, Direct Mail) within Nespresso's broader marketing ecosystem.
- Ensure direct communications are fully integrated into omnichannel marketing campaigns.
- Develop and roll out playbooks covering contact strategy, pressure/suppression rules, segmentation, and personalisation.
- Lead the global CRM activation calendar: seasonal, tactical, and always-on campaigns.
- Orchestrate alignment between campaigns and automated lifecycle journeys.
- Establish KPIs and implement a test-and-learn framework to optimise performance.
- Equip local markets with scalable communication guidelines and segmentation frameworks.
- Ensure compliance, brand alignment, and executional excellence across markets.
- Partner with Analytics & Data teams to embed dynamic content and AI-driven targeting.
- Identify innovation opportunities in CRM tech, messaging formats, and channel integration.
What will make you successful
- 5+ years of experience in CRM, Lifecycle Marketing or Customer Retention, ideally in a digital, retail, or subscription-led business.
- Proven expertise in owned media channels: Email, SMS, Push Notifications, Direct Mail.
- Strong track record in data-driven marketing: segmentation, automation, A/B testing, personalisation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
