Job Description
Role purpose
Supporting with strong impact the Strategy & Business Development team in strategy-related projects and processes, e.g. related to product lifecycle management, functional strategies (e.g. R&D, Intellectual Property, Sustainability), business and competitive intelligence, planning and portfolio management. Offering insights into the Strategy & Business Development team and Global Crop Protection Marketing function from the perspective of a recent MBA graduate, with an opportunity to assess potential fit for a permanent hire afterwards. The length of the internship is ideally 12 months.
Accountabilities
- Drive impactful contributions to diverse Strategy, Planning, and Business Intelligence projects by spearheading sub-streams focused on content creation, cross-functional information gathering, and developing strategic recommendations in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Actively support and help propel critical management processes overseen by the Strategy & Business Development team, including but not limited to planning and portfolio management, competitive and business intelligence initiatives
Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred, ideally an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Exceptional PowerPoint skills with a proven ability to create visually impactful presentations and strong slide-writing capabilities
- Excel modelling and data analytics skills
- Strong strategic thinking and business understanding, with ability to ask important questions and hold own views
- Ability to work independently within clearly communicated responsibilities and with limited guidance from Senior Strategy and Planning Manager or other team members
- Ability to efficiently interact with and lead cross-functional teams and project stakeholders, including confident presentation to senior leaders
- Previous exposure to agricultural inputs (especially Crop Protection) industry is a plus
